About Xenia Weekly
Xenia Weekly is a local publication for the city of Xenia, Ohio. Its first job is to be a dependable map of where official local information lives: the city's agendas and public notices, the school district's calendar, the library's events, the state's road closures and the downtown association's events.
What it does
The site links to the pages where each body publishes its own information. It does not copy them. What you read on the city's agenda page or the school calendar is current and belongs to the office that posted it, and a link keeps it that way. The directory lists every source the publication follows, what it covers and how it publishes.
The weekly edition gathers those sources into one email, each item linked back to where it came from. You can sign up on the join page.
Articles
The site is built to carry occasional local news articles alongside the directory. When one is published it will list the sources it drew on and any corrections at the bottom of the page. Until then, nothing on this site is a news report; the only claims it makes are about where to look.
Sister publication
Greene County Weekly covers the wider county with the same masthead and design in a different colour. The two are separate sites with separate source lists.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, including a source that has moved or a link that no longer points where it says, tell us by email. The address and the current way to reach us are on the join page. Until a fuller process exists, corrections are handled by email and noted on the page they affect.
